Poetry about religion meaning compromise.
Cement
Hits you like a pastors serman on sunday night
Cement hits you like
A confession of closed in hail mary’s where you never went to church
Cement hits you like
A blessing of what the hell am I doing because
Religion was never my nameBut my soul is always searching
I don’t follow any rules
I don’t get constrained by the book
But that dosen’t mean that I don’t love with my whole
That dosen’t mean I don’t listen to voices
Because I hear you
I hear every brick of peace that throws through the window when the family is having dinner
And I hear every cry of help from the ally ways of dirt
And I hear my own heart saying
I will never let your bricks break
Compromise means hearing all
And I hear you today
