Resurrection

skull-4196009_960_720

bones crack

brittle morning’s cold

seized spine and back

caged body of old

time a vagrant bride

tale foretold

I search for life inside

pain drenched handcuffs

nerve-pinching energy

draining the soul which once trusts

grey clouds lethargy

each backbone

vexing and viscous misguide

I search for life inside

lifeless body

societies speeds eras

I lay frozen and gaudy

time ages and fear is

lightning bolts

rising figure

seeking eyes halt

land of coal disfigured

skeleton exposed

deer carcass

rotting the shadow

black and heartless

my body cracks apart

tracking deserts

steps of wounded heart

forest a pitch outskirt

neck cracks

I search for life inside

echoing the area

exhaustion plagues

molten mountains

empty

finger touches tree

dust falls

all that remains

is my skeleton

forever roaming this earth

I search for life inside

That is the day that Jesus rose from the dead.
